By the way, you'll be glad to know that there were no scary wild animal encounters (unlike last year when I - Ms. Nipp - was chased by a baboon) but there was a great deal of screaming at breakfast when a giant beetle-like bug suddenly fell on Nya. You can imagine how well and how calmly (NOT) our group handled the sudden appearance of this uninvited guest; I'll just say that it was VERY loud. We did not have time to photograph the beetle but we hope you will enjoy the photos of a few of the more awesome safari sights...

UA on Safari !!
Our recent safari adventure at Murchison Falls was breath-taking and awesome in so many ways. It was thrilling to see hippos, crocodiles, baboons, elephants, giraffes and, YES, a lion (Simba!), all in their natural habitats. It's very special to see a lion on safari so we were very, very lucky. In fact, we even caught a very quick glimpse of a leopard which is the most solitary and elusive animal at the Murchison National Park. We actually went on two safaris; one, a boat safari on the Nile (gorgeous) and the second, a game drive through the park. It was truly a scene out of National Geographic !!

Excellent pics! Looks just like when Speke arrived here on his trip to discover the source(s) of the Nile, I would say. Congratulations... It seems you have a problem mostly with the Phyllum Arthgropoda, class Insecta... Quite amazing your large 'beetle-like' creature scared you. It must have been in innocent Cicada of the La Fontaine type (recall: Cicada and Ant” by Jean de la Fontaine)... Keep it moving!
